June 27 Things are Going Well in Haiti

Hello everyone, just wanted to update you.  Caitlyn has gone back to the states.  It was fun having her here.  Kelly is up and running.  She got out of the hospital and the next day was up and running around the guest house to prepare for the next group.  She tested negative for Malaria and negative for Cholera, thank you Jesus.  She was VERY dehydrated, they had to give her 5 liters of IV fluids before she was feeling better.  Thank you everyone for your prayers.  Gracie was complaining a couple of days later of a tummy ache but is now better.  God is good.

We have been enjoying getting to know others and taking trips to the beach with them.  There is so much need here in Haiti and we are trying to decide where all to help.  Please pray that God shows us who to help.  We have attached some new pictures.

Time is going by so fast.  Soon it will be time to come back to the states.  Thanks for all your prayers and support.

We really need prayers right now.  Kelly has been sick all night with the flu and has a temp.   She is at the Hospital in Haiti and they will not release her until she goes to the bathroom.  There is a group arriving tomorrow.  Please pray for Kellly and for peace for everyone else.  More updates will follow.

Thanks

June 8, 2011 Update

Hello everyone,

Just thought we would update the blog.  God is working in Haiti.  God blessed us with Sandy and Lauren who spent 10 wonderful days with us.

The first big team came and went, they were from California.   They did some work at an orphanage.  Our kids got to go along with them several days and they really enjoyed it. We have had a few things break and a small fire during the week but still walked in peace. Needless to say we had a mound of laundry to do when the group left. Yesterday we were blessed with city power and no rain, thank you Jesus, so Nene, Kelly and I spent the day doing laundry. It has been cloudy and rainy for the last 10 days so thank you Jesus for the nice weather to dry the laundry.  All the rain has brought on the mosquito's like crazy. Kelly has had 2 run ins with tarantulas, one was in her suitcase which is under her bed. Yikes!  It's hard to believe we have been here for 5 weeks. God is stretching us all in many areas. We have meet many amazing people and are building relationships. We daily ask God to guide our path and go before us in all things.

Thanks for the continued prayers and words of encouragement.  We serve an amazing God and are so grateful to be able to have this opportunity to be God's hands and feet here in Haiti.

Love to all,
